Establishing a Movement Community
If you’re reading this, I want to first welcome you to The Movement Project. This project has been created with the goal of providing education to both individuals and communities on the beneficial impact movement can have on all aspects of life. We believe that movement truly is medicine for both the body and the mind and plan to emphasize this through sharing and simplifying scientifically accurate, researched backed information. Additionally, we aim to establish a community for individuals to share their own experiences with movement and encourage each and every one of you to comment, share, and reach out to us with any questions.
Second, I want to encourage each of you to use this website as a space to get out of your comfort zones. For example, if you read one of our blog posts on a topic that you feel may benefit your health but don’t know how to get started, don’t just click on the “X” button and forget you ever read the article. Instead, scroll down to the comments section and look for the stories of others who may have had similar struggles. If that doesn’t work, send us an email and we will do our best to lend a helping hand. Together, we can all work together to educate, motivate, and empower each other and communities to sit less, move more, and thus restore health. Let’s get after it.
